Pak na pak,Lumpak!

images (14)download (1)Pagsanghan is one of the beautiful and blessedful town in the Philippines, part of Samar. Pagsanghan is rich with its own unique culture,tradition,beliefs,products,
and the way people living. We are famous beacuse of the story of the lost and enchanted city which is Biringan, that can be found in the place of Pagsanghan. Aside from it, Pagsanghan is also popular for its delicious foods and delicacies.
One of the proudly delicacy that made in Pagsanghan is “Lumpak” for its local name. It’s made up sticky rice … The process in making “Lumpak” , first is cook the sticky rice after 30 minutes. Then the cooked sticky rice will wrapp into a leaves . The leaves is clean with water and let it dry . After wrapping the sticky rice, cook it again with in 30 minutes . The finish product is now we called “Lumpak”. The “Lumpak” is totally tasteless, so they put a “Latik” so that it will become delicious , its like a toppings on it . The ingredients in making “Latik” are sugar,”calamay”,and the coconut milk. Then put it together in the pan, and stir it until the color is become brownish. After those process our food is ready to eat now. You can put latik on the top of the lumpak.
In the making lumpak is become a tradition of Pagsanghananon, especially in occasions and holidays like Christmas,New Years,Birthdays and Weddings. It has a big help to Pagsanghan people,it become their occupations by selling the lumpak . They can get some income to sustain there needs. So what are you waiting for visit,explore and test the delicacies made in Pagsanghan … I promise you that you will not regret because it’s “Sulit”.
